Aspect Ratio

  1. An image’s aspect ratio is the ratio of its width to its height.
  2. For example, if an image were 1500 pixels wide and 300 pixels high, its aspect ratio would be 5:1.
    • Converting 1500300 into its simplest form yields 51.
    • To form the ratio, we place its numerator on the left hand side of a colon, and the denominator on the right.
